Born Ely. Occupation whitesmith. Discharged at Curragh Camp 28 December 1905. Conduct exemplary. “I believe George Cross
is thoroughly trustworthy & sober, to the best of my belief he has never been under the influence of drink. He is a very
superior plumber and gasfitter.” Died of gangrene of leg at Norwich 6 December 1942. Served in 23rd (Field) Company in
South Africa.
